Kitchen worktops and work surfaces

Kitchen Worktops Direct is a UK specialist in kitchen worktops. We sell solid surface, luxury composite and colour-matched kitchen worktops with factory-direct pricing, then template and install the work surface in homes nationwide.

Use the ranges above to shop by material or colour. If you are replacing an existing top, we can usually template around your current cabinets, cut for sinks and hobs, and fit in a planned visit rather than a full kitchen rip-out.

Help & advice

Kitchen worktops: frequently asked questions

Prices, materials, templating, care and samples — the questions homeowners actually ask before they buy.

01 What is the best worktop for a kitchen?
The best kitchen worktop depends on how you cook and how much maintenance you want. Solid surface is a strong all-rounder: seamless joins, repairable and easy to clean. Luxury composite and quartz-look ranges suit busy family kitchens that need stain resistance. Wood-look and traditional colours add warmth if you are happy with a little extra care. Compare solid surface worktops and our luxury range, then request a quote for a fitted price.
02 How much do kitchen worktops cost in the UK?
UK kitchen worktop prices vary by material, thickness, edge profile, cut-outs and whether templating and fitting are included. Budget laminate-style surfaces sit at the lower end; solid surface, quartz-look and granite-look ranges cost more once fabrication is added. A typical kitchen is priced on linear metres, not a single slab price. Use our free quote for a supply-and-fit figure that includes your layout.
03 Do you supply and fit kitchen worktops across the UK?
Yes. Kitchen Worktops Direct supplies kitchen worktops nationwide and offers professional templating and installation. We have sales lines for Bristol, London, Glasgow and Manchester so you can speak to a local team while ordering factory-direct.
04 How do you join kitchen worktops?
Joins depend on the material. Solid surface can be bonded into a near-invisible seam. Laminate and timber tops are typically joined with worktop bolts and colour-matched sealant. Stone and composite slabs are templated, cut in the workshop and installed with tightly controlled joints. We advise on the right joint for your layout at the quote stage.
05 How do you clean kitchen worktops?
Wipe most kitchen worktops with a soft cloth and a mild cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads and bleach on solid surface and composite. Hot pans need a trivet on resin-based surfaces. Wood-look and timber-style tops last longer with the care oil or cleaner recommended for that range. See our traditional kitchen worktops if you want a warmer, wood-inspired finish.
06 Can I get a sample before I buy?
Yes. Colour and pattern are hard to judge on screen, especially for marble-effect and terrazzo designs. Order a free sample of your shortlisted kitchen worktops, then book templating once you are happy with the finish in your own light.
